I have been wanting to try a couple of new projects and decided today is the day!  Back to the sewing room and my old stand-by Pfaff sewing machine.  I am currently toying or playing with kitty collar slide-on's.  My daughter, Megan, thought this name up along time ago when I was sewing more.  I haven't sewed anything for just a long time, I was wondering if I still could! LOL

I can!  They are coming out so cute.  I'll upload pic's later on.  Having fun!! Yay!  Sewing is back in my life where it belongs.

Going to be checking out Molly Mine's Crazy Quilt in the Hoop squares later on today.  She's having a sale and I'm dying to get one of those squares.  I'm nervous, because I don't know how they come out but I guess if I don't purchase one, I won't know.  Christmas quilt squares are beautiful and actually all the squares are beautiful.  I can just see making a pillow or small wall hanging for gifts this Christmas!

Should I give them a try?  Have any of you worked on any of these?  Let me know!

June 30 - My Birthday

I had a great birthday this year, although I really missed my two daughters -- how could they move away!! LOL My husband and son convinced me, first of all, that a day off was in order.  A day without the embroidery machines - I don't know!  Decided to try it and found that taking a complete day off from work was fun indeed. I found that there was a world out there beyond the embroidery machines and appliques - who would have thought??

So, I went shopping with Andrew and we had a bite at 5 Guys.  The burger was great, french fries - to die for.  When we got home and I decided I didn't want to go out for a birthday dinner as well, so we stayed in.  I cooked a petite filet of beef on my wolfgang puck grill, Andrew roast asparagus with proscuitto and I made a grilled romaine salad with blue cheese topping.  I am totally hooked now on grilled salad - wow it's yummy - you've got to try it!

I sneaked in a little pool time with the pups and watched a movie later on.  All in all, even though the girls weren't here, it was fun and I had a great time!

New Design News!

I'm Back!! It's been along time since I have blogged  I know, but I'm going to change that right now.  New designs are arriving and Teddy and I are very excited about them.  Teddy has had a hard time concentrating on is embroidery lately, since he got and killed a snake in the back yard.  LOL  He was amazing and has been feeling very "king" like ever since.  I suppose I will need to make a "king's crown" for him soon!
